This picture of my darling daughter sporting her new haircut was perfect!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

</div><div align="justify" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I cut the opening on the beautiful embossed red paper with my Cricut George & Basic Shapes. I pop dotted the entire sheet on a piece of black Bazzill Swiss Dots (which is embossed also) and floated the photo in the middle. The title is cut from the Pooh Font cartridgeand shaddowed in white to make it pop off the page! I cut a 1.5" strip from the black Swiss dot paper, stiched it in white heavy duty thread and added a big black button to mimic the sleeve detail on her favorite black pea-coat! She loves this layout and so do I!</div><div align="justify" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWeplUBBKGWrqZoBaRiCzd4CZahiKhjeXQt1ncuiexDhD_xnt4Uovdzc-KMYvIQDblXhXk3hEP9a7qf942ftD1oVBj4RMSu_EyazMuFEW6viR4Vr8QKc9u8rVAk8sdGrMyb59aaWNQt_0/s1600-h/Prima+WCR+LO.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="392" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWeplUBBKGWrqZoBaRiCzd4CZahiKhjeXQt1ncuiexDhD_xnt4Uovdzc-KMYvIQDblXhXk3hEP9a7qf942ftD1oVBj4RMSu_EyazMuFEW6viR4Vr8QKc9u8rVAk8sdGrMyb59aaWNQt_0/s400/Prima+WCR+LO.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">There are so many cool elements that I added to this layout, like floating the double matted photo in the recessed frame:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The stamped, inked & embossed "b" that I pop dotted in the title:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj92Eh4p4HGhA-g4FjllHWTeCbmtmC5YQ5QtiuG7DafhA5gxquvt6tAkSDNJZHfouwJRlYt2Tq38_CHEgTiLWdybyB0AJ8vMTionFR3BIHDtHRBBCpZUMOSv6HCDAJ1fpUKTWKSeI6Tlo/s1600-h/Prima+WCR+B.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ct="true" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj92Eh4p4HGhA-g4FjllHWTeCbmtmC5YQ5QtiuG7DafhA5gxquvt6tAkSDNJZHfouwJRlYt2Tq38_CHEgTiLWdybyB0AJ8vMTionFR3BIHDtHRBBCpZUMOSv6HCDAJ1fpUKTWKSeI6Tlo/s400/Prima+WCR+B.JPG" width="296" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">And the flowers I cut in multiple sizes from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut cartridge, embossed, inked and layered them and used the clay roses from the <a href="http://lillambsboutique.com/shoppe/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_22"><span style="color: #741b47;"><strong>Prima Say It In Pearls and Roses</strong></span></a> ( I'm saving all the yummy pearls for another project)!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />

She asked us to make a card for someone special and make sure to send it out tomorrow. I owe a very special person a thank you note and created this super simple card using the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. I love the super clean designs on this cartridge and the card feature makes it a snap to make the most adorable cards!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhV5mDjWiwPDEmOQY06JSdFe-m7ycnQ7Q9bDiIbymoV7JnSTyn-5YrN2JKWhhJbmAkR9YKW0ZlZEXjA3d65tTHlIU1FEjeCYLK3NNCeZfQ1GBFWrjgoHxaj7BSA4I5gPGoCtMa6Z8Il2I/s1600-h/PS+Sunday+Challenge.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" kt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhV5mDjWiwPDEmOQY06JSdFe-m7ycnQ7Q9bDiIbymoV7JnSTyn-5YrN2JKWhhJbmAkR9YKW0ZlZEXjA3d65tTHlIU1FEjeCYLK3NNCeZfQ1GBFWrjgoHxaj7BSA4I5gPGoCtMa6Z8Il2I/s320/PS+Sunday+Challenge.jpg" width="298" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Of course, I used my favorite Bo Bunny Double Dot cardstock for this one and made the base of this card from white Bo Bunny CrissCross Cardstock (another personal favorite). I filled in the seeds with some black stickles for a bit of sparkle and tied a red gingham bow on the stem! Super simple and so super cute!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

Her first challenge was make something with blackand your favorite color.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">I just adore the way pink, black and white look together! I used the Wildcard Cartridge for the "argyle" cuts and Storybook for the placard where I stamped the word grateful. When I saw the new Cricut Easter 2010 cartridge, I knew I had to have it, even if I only used it to make this card! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_3MFPIPmeaa-SuUs4GfnIGo-tUAN7kBr5Ztjic6jtHthf5ieSp1zObCmB48bdfNvAEDx3VogjD_41HtcvZ_ib-9esFGcYFe5a_C6pqxqken1OfkgQPReu6oL-NQwiw1Bqx-mX8JoM8Z4/s1600-h/Easter+Card.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_3MFPIPmeaa-SuUs4GfnIGo-tUAN7kBr5Ztjic6jtHthf5ieSp1zObCmB48bdfNvAEDx3VogjD_41HtcvZ_ib-9esFGcYFe5a_C6pqxqken1OfkgQPReu6oL-NQwiw1Bqx-mX8JoM8Z4/s400/Easter+Card.JPG" /></a><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">The base of the card is two eggs welded together, and cut out of my favorite paper ever,<span style="color: #20124d;"><strong><a href="http://lillambsboutique.com/shoppe/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=11_40&sort=20a&page=2"> Bo Bunny Double Dot</a></strong></span> ( available from Lil Lambs Boutique). When there is a rounded edge like this I actually weld a small rectangle between the two, so the edges of the shape don't get mis-shaped when folded. (clear as mudd right?). The bunny with the bite out of his ear is so cute, but for the other rabbit I needed an ear with no bite. To fix this I welded an oval from the George cart inside the the bunnys ear and it cut perfect! then I just used my Cutterbee's to take a bite out of his bum! LOL. The balance of the cuts are just from scraps and a bit of yellow checked ribbon (from JoAnns) finishes off the card! So much fun, right?<br />

I hope this years card makes the board!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQIkTcVgvoncTSUp0XZKiU19wdcrbzy2fNAwHUFZgONkb8pajaRaXtfsGo-fW9Z971YI2eARgYpvmOOLYaChBN0G6kaPvSX_hF_Dag5FpEOGJdPAqDZPDeugknvgMYZEzCBjov26wG204/s1600-h/Ricks+Valentine+Front.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQIkTcVgvoncTSUp0XZKiU19wdcrbzy2fNAwHUFZgONkb8pajaRaXtfsGo-fW9Z971YI2eARgYpvmOOLYaChBN0G6kaPvSX_hF_Dag5FpEOGJdPAqDZPDeugknvgMYZEzCBjov26wG204/s400/Ricks+Valentine+Front.JPG" /></a><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">This card was made using the George & Basic Shapes and Gypsy Font cartridges and lots and lots of welding! I welded two hearts (from George cart) together to create the base of the card which I cut out of paper with a wood grain. I inked the edeges with <a href="http://lillambsboutique.com/shoppe/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_16"><span style="color: #660000;">Smooch Spritz Pearlized Spray</span></a> (available from Lil' Lambs Boutique). This spray is so yummy with is subtle pearly shimmer ~ you just gotta give it a try!<br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">The heart lace was created by using that same heart shape (from the George cartridge) as a base. I then layered and welded two small hearts together and welded them to the base, and each other, all the way around, turning each as I went. I cut it out of Doodlebug Sugarcoated white paper. A few stickeled hearts and a greeting and the front was done!<br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;"><br />

</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">The greeting is the Gypsy font. I like welding smaller size cuts together because it makes it so much easier to put together after it is cut! <br />

I got a Cricut Gypsy for Christmas from the hubs! The gypsy has rejuvinated my creative mojo and I am scrappin' happy again! If you follow my blog you know that we live out of town. I spend alot of time waiting for kiddos, as none of the children drives yet (counting down till July when my dear daughter takes test to get drivers license). The Gypsy enables me to design cards and layouts while I am waiting and makes the whole process so much quicker! I actually designed my next layout while waiting in the Drs office yesterday! My Gypsy goes everywhere with me! <br />
</div></blockquote><br />
<blockquote><div style="text-align: justify;">The layout below was created with the Everyday Paperdolls Cartridge. What a fun cart this is. I know it will be used quite often.<br />

This adorable card, made with Bo Bunny Double Dot from <strong><a href="http://lillambsboutique.com/"><span style="color: #20124d;">Lil Lambs Boutique</span></a></strong> and scraps, took me under 15 minutes to make from start to finish! What fun!<br />

It is called "Fabulous Fruit" and I love it! The phrase is from a Clear Dollar set called Fruity fun. The Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge has the greatest spiral notebook page type cuts in lots of fun shapes, perfect for adding some texture to cards. Isn't this a sweet little card?<br />

But I gotta say my absolute favorite thing about fall is the sound of the geese honking overhead as they fly in their V patterns, returning to warmer grounds. It reminds me of my mom. She so loved to sit on their deck and watch them leave each fall. I miss her so and it makes me giggle to think that honking geese bring her to mind. It would have made her giggle too! Yep, definately my favorite time of year! <br />

I used George and Pooh font. Alas; I don't yet have Everyday paper dolls, so I had to (dare I say it?) hand cut the rocket! We finished it off by putting last years school picture in the rocket window!<br />

The children are back at school and my baby turned 12 today! Here he is with his favorite gift. I am glad I made him do his homework before he started this lego set! He didn't finish till after ten, but your birthday only comes once a year, right?<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376721100343821522" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiss7VuvvvauSi8ygvgCkzFaR5yD7oKJhFDhfow-PEt6wOLBCJ_i-BwNDTYKEm6APNsDB62mXnHl9DaAR58f2wnfi84W6Cyq3yAnrXrzzHAsKjRyGQqbe35RBnKSsIcsfiM7se4Q_2r8jE/s400/027a.jpg" border="0" /><br />Anyway, this little guy just loves football so, here is the card I made for him using Cricuts Design Studio and the Sports Mania cartridge. I find that a little planning in design studio makes whipping up a card a cinch! I put the blue frame in a Cuttlebug embossing folder and added a few brads for texture. The stamp is from the <a href="http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_outoftheboxsentiments.html"><span style="color:#000099;"><strong>Out of the Box Sentiments</strong></span> </a>set from Papertrey Inc<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuiXoAs5WHc4P-zT_3Q62uKe7TSEJ1DFe7BupTv7viquUI3uwK5vUUcitOlwFs7I8bio6gQthb4JwNyxN4szHZfHfidar3Dp4LTEbxHbTc2R8eCIpkZtHinGtEJBvP0t507IZ2jYv5xNw/s1600-h/Culleys+Card.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376721108630648594" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 386px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuiXoAs5WHc4P-zT_3Q62uKe7TSEJ1DFe7BupTv7viquUI3uwK5vUUcitOlwFs7I8bio6gQthb4JwNyxN4szHZfHfidar3Dp4LTEbxHbTc2R8eCIpkZtHinGtEJBvP0t507IZ2jYv5xNw/s400/Culleys+Card.jpg" border="0" /></a>Fleur-de-lis and Flourisheshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02763196431129822551noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9132327403072304533.post-67574392997818488452009-08-10T22:38:00.006-05:002009-08-10T22:51:52.198-05:00Family VacationsYou know, I remember going on family vacations and having a blast when I was a kid but as I got older, I often wonder how much fun it was for my folkes.
